SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

The School or the Principal can post feeds on the social forum. These feeds relate to various school activities and can be viewed by all. Students, teachers and parents can view the feeds, comment on the them, like them and can even report problems. They cannot, however, delete the feeds. They can carry out these activities by visiting the websites from their smart phones, tablets or desktops.

Links

Links on the school website can only be updated and deleted by the School only. The rest can comment, report a problem on the link or like the link.

Golden Moments Captured

As this platform brings on board all students teachers and parents, the school can showcase the various activities by uploading photographs. Only the school has the right to update and delete photographs while the rest can comment, like and report a problem on them.

Interactive Videos

Much like the photographs, videos can also be updated and deleted by the school only. The rest can comment, report a problem on the video or like it.

The Profile Section gives information about the school/Principal, teachers , students as well as their respective parents


The School Profile

The Principal, on behalf of the School can update/post various social media activities to let the students, teachers and parents know about the ongoings in the school.

The Principal or the School are used interchangeably.

Besides, the Prinicpal/ School can create and delete events. The School can invite students, teachers and parents for various events or to join groups as the case may be.

The School's Biography is penned by the Principal. The Principal can view the biographies of all the members.

The Teacher Profile

The teachers are invited by the school. They can view the various posts, like them, comment on them and even report problems. They can participate in polls and view the results. Besides, teachers can also view the biographies of the students.

The teacher can view biographies of only the students of their classes .In addition to it, teachers can view the teachers list and their biographies. They can also view various group discussions and comment on them as well.

The Student Profile

The students are invited by the school. The student cannot view any other's profile except that of the school.

They can view the various posts, like /comment/ even report problems. They can participate in polls and view the results.

In addition to it, students of a particular class can view the class discussions,latest updates, ToDos, Files and even comment. They can view discussions, ToDos, Files, Latest Updates of a general group and can if they are the member of the group and cannot comment if they are not the member of the group.



Groups

Overview

Sahledu introduces the innovative concept of socio-dynamic groups for various purposes with well-defined objectives. These promote interactive sessions among group members and facilitate sharing of information and files within permissible access that is granted to them.

Only the school can create and delete a group. School and Teacher can create discussions, to-dos, files or polls within a group. All group members can view group items and can give comments on them.

Broadly, the Groups are classified as Members and Private. Each group is specified by member type i.e. teacher, student or parents, who can join this group.

GROUP TYPE

Groups created for sharing of information and other activities in the better interest of the school and the students are classified as follows:


Public Groups

These groups are visible to all school members and they can view all group items and their contents. But members need to 'Join this group' to act anything with this group.


Private Groups

These Groups are visible only to those members who already join here. Members can join this group through invitation mail only.

GROUP MEMBERS

Any student of the school can join a group that corresponds with his class and thus become a group member. Besides the group members include the School Principal, teachers associated with the respective teachers and parents. When the group is created as 'Members' then the group is visible to all type of members that the school has selected. When the group is 'private' then members can join through invitation by mail only.

GROUP DISCUSSION

Group Discussions help in the exchange of views and perspectives with reference to the respective students' progress.

Groups allow discussion of the respective forums accordingly. The discussions can be created, edited and deleted by the school or teachers. The school, teachers, respective students and parents can only comment on the discussions.

GROUP TO-DO LISTS

To-Do Lists give direction towards implementing the work that has been planned and decided upon. Certain activities are discussed in a group, based on which actions need to be taken. These find way into the To-Do List.

A group can be set up by the school or teacher with a schedule of work to be completed. The students and parents of that respective group can only view and comment.

The teachers and the Principal on behalf of the school can exclusively create, update, copy, move and delete these to-do lists.

GROUP FILES

An important aspect of group activity is file-sharing. Files can be shared among group members as per the access granted.The School and Teachers can share files in a group. The students and parents of that respective group can only view and comment on the files.

GROUP UPDATES

List of all activities done within this group by members. All lists have a link to the details-page of that activity.



Classes

Overview

Classes or grades are synonymous. All teachers and Students must be associated at least one of these classes. All these classes are treated as Groups and contains all features and functionalities of a general group. All students and teachers who are associated with the concerned grades automatically become members of the respective classroom groups.

DISCUSSION

With reference to a particular grade or class the Principal, respective student, teachers and parents can view and comment on the discussion. Only the Principal or the teachers can create and delete discussions. The teachers can copy and move the discussions depending on the moderator access grated to them, Parent can only view the discussions pertaining to their wards and update information accordingly.

GROUP TO-DO LISTS

FILES

UPDATES

The classroom updates keep the students, parents and all up-to-date regarding the activities going on in the respective classroom. It enables teachers and parents to be track the progress of their students.

Polls

Polls represent a voting or taking into account the opinions of students, teachers and parents with regard to a particular topic, event or subject. The polls can be created , edited , updated , deleted or published by the school or teacher. Students and their parents can only vote and view the results.

Timetables help in the effective management of time and it's constructive utilization. Together with 'to-do-lists' students get to inculcate the discipline of effective work-management which subsequently makes them more productive and efficient.

Timetable - Student

Students can create their own timetables. They do not have the option of multiple timetables and cannot look into other students' timetables either. Parents can view only the timetables of their own child.

Timetable - Teacher

The timetable of a teacher is created, edited and be viewed by the respective teacher only. The teacher can have multiple timetables and also have access to viewing the timetables of different students.



Messages

Overview

This section enables school to communicate with teachers, students and parents easily. Besides, a teacher can also communicate with his students and vice versa.

The 'Speak with the Principal ' and the Principal's Desk Sections provide added advantage that facilitates smooth communication between the school and the teachers, students and parents as well. It consists of the following two sections- (1) The Principal's Desk (2) Speak with the Principal. This bilateral facilitation ensures effective communication for better development of the students.

Principal's Desk

The Principal on behalf of the school can send messages to the Students Parents and Teachers. This activity is controlled from Principal's Desk. The messages could be news, updates, achievements or sharing videos of the schools events. They in turn can comment on the messages sent.

Speak with the Principal

The 'Speak with the Principal' allows students , teachers and parents to send their messages to the Principal on a one- to- one basis. They have the freedom to put their questions and queries before the Principal who can reply accordingly.



Events

Inform and stay informed about the numerous activities that are happening in your school. So, if there is a quiz competition coming up, or a debate taking place, or a soccer tournament in the wings or even a talent contest, your school gets to inform and keep all students, parents, and teachers updated.

  • Only the school can create, edit, publish and delete events.
  • Once the event gets published it can not be edited any more.
  • Only the published events can be viewed by all the students, teachers and parents.
  • All members are allowed to comment on these published events.


News

The News Section allows the school to let students, teachers and parents know about the various activities that have taken place.



Polls

Overview

Polls are an effective way of engaging audience and obtaining valuable feedback. This feedback relates to the various aspects of the school and its performance along with those of the students. Polls also help in managing the school efficiently at incredibly affordable rates as it replaces expensive proprietary audience response hardware with standard web technology. Moreover, as they work instantly, polls keep the audience riding high on the excitement wave.

Feed Section Polls

Only the school has the sole authority of creating, editing, deleting the polls and publishing it on the website and displaying on activity page. The students, teachers and parents can view the polls, vote and also view the result of the polls if they are granted the access.

Group Section Polls

Group polls are published within the specific group only and will not be displayed outside the group. The School and the teachers can create the group polls. Only the Group Members can view the polls, vote and also view the result of the polls if they are granted the access.
